Use this form to make a donation using Gift Aid : Gift Aid
Form
Changes that came into effect from April 2000 have made
tax-effective giving to charity easier, making your donation worth more to us,
and in some cases saving you money on your tax bill.
Individuals – Gift Aid
If you pay tax, you can complete a Gift Aid form (available from
the Finance office – 0161 498 3649) which means that we can reclaim the basic
rate tax on your donation from the Inland Revenue, in effect this means that a
£100 donation from you will be worth £128.20.
Example:
| Your donation |
£100.00 |
| We reclaim £100 x 100/78ths |
£ 28.20 |
| Your donation is now worth |
£128.20 |
You only have to complete one Gift Aid form to
secure relief on all donations from April 2000 until your tax liability changes.
You must let us know if you stop paying tax at the basic rate.
